This drum is made with 13 laces representing the 13 moons of the year, and optionally has the moon phases hand painted on the face. The sides are scalloped. It is custom made, and can be made at the full or new moon by request (allow time for the moon cycle). It is made of deer on a cedar hoop, in sizes from 12" to 20".
Red Stag Deer drums have excellent sustain with nice harmonics, with a mid-high to low tone depending on size and thickness. The deer represents love and circulation and is aligned with the heart chakra. Cedar is cleansing and purifying.
