Make Your Own: Drum Kits & More
We at Gaia's Workshop Drums believe that the best tool is the one you make yourself in communion with that which is most sacred to you. For that reason, we offer a variety of Make Your Own Drum Kits, along with Rattle Kits, Drum Beater Kits & much more.
We offer a quantity discount on all of our kits for teachers and group leaders. Discounts are based on quantity of the same type of item, so you can mix and match within a type (drum kits or rattle kits, for example). 3-5 kits of each type are discounted at 10%, 6-10 kits of each type are discounted at 15%, and 11 or more kits are discounted at 20%. You must contact us at gaiasworkshop@gmail.com prior to ordering to receive the discount (and to have proper calculated shipping). We will invoice you for the total. The order is not confirmed until payment is made. Please order as early as you can, large orders can take 4-6 weeks to make depending on our workflow, and do let us know when your workshop is occurring.

Harmonic Shamanic Drum Kits
Our Harmonic Shamanic Line of Drums are made for those who really care about the sound & the energy of their drum. We call these drums "Harmonic Shamanic" because of the great resonance and multiple voices they create. These drums have had a special treatment of "honing & toning" developed by a Master Drummaker and an experienced Jazz/Rock percussionist, which brings into balance the animal spirit, the tree spirit, the masculine and the feminine. We invite you to interact with the broader wilderness of sound. Our drums are made with a five sided handle, for balance with the four elements with the central point of spirit (and, anyway, did you ever notice you have five fingers?)
Note: The 10" kit has 10 holes and 2 lacings per handle, rather than the usual 15 lacings with three in each handle.
These kits are cut for full wrap of the hoop but include instructions for making scallops if you prefer.

Spirit Drum Kits
Our Spirit Line of Drums are made in honor of the Ancestors of this land and their descendants who have chosen to share their sacred knowledge and wisdom with the rest of us. Like our "Harmonic Shamanic" drums, these drums have had a special treatment of "honing & toning" developed by a Master Drummaker and an experienced Jazz/Rock percussionist, which brings into balance the animal spirit, the tree spirit, the masculine and the feminine. We invite you to interact with the broader wilderness of sound. These drums are made with a four spoke central handle in honor of the medicine wheel and the gifts of the four directions. Horse drums have excellent harmonics, with a mid to low tone depending on size and thickness. The horse is the traditional journey animal and corresponds to the third eye chakra.
Note: The 10" kit has 12 holes and 3 lacings per handle, rather than the usual 16 lacings with four in each handle.
These kits are cut for full wrap of the hoop but include instructions for making scallops if you prefer.
Seven Sisters Drum Kits
These drums have a seven spoke handle and bring in both the Pleiades Constellation and the seven sided fairy star. They are a bit more advanced to make but even a first time drum maker should have no trouble following the fully illustrated instructions.

We invite you to interact with the broader wilderness of sound. This drum is made with 21 lacings and a seven spoke handle. They are only available in 13” & larger sizes.
