Make Your Own: Horse Rawhide Shamanic Rattle Kit
This kit includes everything you need to make your own shamanic style rawhide rattle. It includes a pre-cut and punched horse rawhide head, a rough sanded stick in an appropriate size, your choice of colored or natural artificial sinew and the corn/sage mix I use in my rattles. Full color instructions are included. Horse rawhide is generally dark brown. Red Stag Deer rattle kits, which are cream to light brown, are also available. Rattles really allow you freedom to create a personal tool for cleansing and healing. The head can be dyed before you sew the rattle, or painted after. Fillings can include not only the included corn but also semiprecious stones, bones, seeds or even bells. Your stick can be prepared with paint, carving, wood burning, stain, etc. I am offering these kits either with or without the stick in case you want to use your own. Choose the listing for the size/shape you want with the "X" if you do not want a stick.
