Make Your Own: 10" 12", 15", 18" or 20" Horse, Deer or Elk Rawhide Four Directions Spirit Drum Kit with a Maple or Cedar Hoop and a beater
This kit includes everything you need to make your own spirit drum with a four direction handle. It includes a pre-cut appropriately sized rawhide head in your choice of horse, deer or elk, matching hand cut lacing, a cedar or maple hoop in your choice of 10", 12", 15", 18" or 20" diameter, and a beater kit consisting of a deer suede head in your choice of colors, a rough sanded willow stick, sinew, cotton wrapping and color coordinated artificial sinew. Our Spirit Line of Drums are made in honor of the Ancestors of this land and their descendants who have chosen to share their sacred knowledge and wisdom with the rest of us. Like our "Harmonic Shamanic" drums, these drums have had a special treatment of "honing & toning" developed by a Master Drummaker and an experienced Jazz/Rock percussionist, which brings into balance the animal spirit, the tree spirit, the masculine and the feminine. We invite you to interact with the broader wilderness of sound. These drums are made with a four spoke central handle in honor of the medicine wheel and the gifts of the four directions. Horse drums have excellent harmonics, with a mid to low tone depending on size and thickness. The horse is the traditional journey animal and corresponds to the third eye chakra.
