Tarot is flourishing, flowering, bursting with energy! Artists and writers are reinterpreting traditional imagery and meaning to create new pictures and stories that astonish and delight us. Tarot is possibility, a path, a tool, a game, and yes, even a toy for the child inside each of us. The story is freshly told and still familiar. You know more about tarot than you think, even if you’ve never drawn a card from a deck.

Excellent, well-organized, and structured books and classes based on the Rider-Waite-Smith deck that most people associate with tarot are widely available. I’m proposing something completely different... a play group… or a Mad Hatter’s tea party. Let’s meet a couple times a month to talk tarot. Bring your favorite cards (if you got ‘em). Ask questions. There is no charge for this group, the maiden voyage of Tarot Tricks. We’ll meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of May, June, and July. Bring your curiosity and your favorite tea cup.
