Buffalo specifically carries the energy of abundance and is a very masculine, grandfatherly feeling drum. Buffalo drums are traditionally used in sweat lodges because the strength and thickness of the hide makes them more durable in conditions that can be difficult for drums. These drums tend to be deep and thumpy without a whole lot of resonance or harmonic response.

Buffalo drums are always scalloped because of the thickness of the hide. We recommend a maple hoop for this size, Buffalo is so strong it can deform a cedar hoop. The drum pictured is represetative, yours will be similar. A soft suede handle wrap is included.

A standard beater, color coordinated with your handle wrap, is included.
